Earth Day 2010

Today is Earth Day, and my friend Sue (www.motherhoodandme.com), had the wonderful idea to throw an Earth Day party for the kids. She once again graciously opened her house and yard to all of the little ones for a day filled with fun. The instructions were to bring a pot, plant or seeds of some type, a lunch dish that incorporated what we were planting, and of course extra clothes. The goal was to teach the kids about the planet, where the foods they eat come from, and the impact that each of us have on the planet. I'm not sure how much the kids retained from the experience, but I do know that they had a blast...playing outside for 4+ hours! Thank you again Sue, for letting us invade and I hope to be able to continue teaching my little ones what you started today!!

Growing so fast

Samantha is growing so quickly these days, that it seems like she learns something new daily! Her smiles and giggles are becoming more and more frequent, and it just lights up her entire face when she does either of them. Every day she seems to notice more and more of the great big world around her, and I think that we each fall a little more in love with her on each passing day. I am trying to cherish each moment, but sometimes we get so busy and caught up that I don't even have a chance to get all the pictures that I want.

She may hate me for these one day....but I just couldn't resist!

A long overdue post...they all seem to be lately!

Well, between technical difficulties with my computer and a chronic inability to complete any task that requires more than five minutes of my attention....this post is WAY overdue. But here is our Easter, or what I caught of it on camera. Another issue that I seem to be having...remembering to have the camera ready and handy:) So enjoy...more posts to come, I hope!

The egg dying adventure...which he was only interested in for about five minutes:)
