Easter

We were still in Wilmington for Easter and had a wonderful day. We went to church at Sam's family church, 5th Ave Methodist, in downtown Wilmington. There was a beautiful service, another egg hunt, and then lunch at the Seaside Club.

Spring Break

Bobby was on Spring break last week, so we of course hit the road to Wilmington. Adam, Ashleigh, Cooper and Andrew were also in town, so Bobby was beyond happy to spend time with his cousins. We spent a lot of time at the Seaside Club playing on the beach, and even going in the water...even though the water was FRIGID. I don't think that kids have the same temperature gauge that we adults do...they weren't phased at all. Even Samantha ran right in!

We also had an Easter egg hunt with almost all of the cousins, and even though both Bobby and Samantha had double ear infections...they were little troopers.

March in review....

March was a busy month for us....and I have spent all of my "extra" time making and getting things ready for my new Etsy shop. So any computer time has been devoted to that...yet another excuse for not updating the blog...but this time I think that it is a legitimate reason:)

So Samantha and I accompanied Bobby's preschool class on a field trip to the NC State Farm Days. We had a great time seeing the baby chicks, cows, pigs, goats....the list goes on and on. Getting to sit on tractors, learn how to lasso, and getting to eat some homemade NC State dairy ice cream!

Sam and Bobby built a fire pit in the back yard one weekend. It was a labor of love on Sam's part, and we immediately had to have a weinie and marshmallow roast that evening. I think that we will be spending a lot of time around the fire pit...it was a HUGE hit with Bobby.

He's FOUR!

Wow...my little guy is four!! How did that happen? Where has the time gone? It is truly amazing when I think of all that has happened over the last four years. And some days it seems only like yesterday that it was all just beginning. But that said, here are some of the words that I would use to describe my little man today:

Crazy, high energy, funny, ham, sweet, loving, stubborn, strong willed. You still love to cuddle, are a fantastic big brother, and can bring a smile to my face or a tear to my eye without even trying. I love you sweet boy and you will never know how much you changed my life four years ago.

And to commemorate the big four we had cupcakes at school and a party for your classmates here at the house! Can't wait to see where we go in the next 12 months.

The woods....

We have really enjoyed the woods behind our house. Bobby loves to go out there on walks and look for deer and beaver...and all of the markings on the trees that he can find. There is also a creek and he loves to just spend time "fishing." So this past Sunday the weather was beautiful, so before the big game, we headed out for a family hike. Climbing trees, fishing, and just having a good time.

The big ONE!!

I can NOT believe that my little girl is ONE!! Everyone says that time moves fast, but nothing can describe how quickly I feel that this year has passed. I felt like the first year of Bobby's life passed in a flash, but this one was almost a blur. I am so happy and also a little sad at the changes that have happened. She has gone from 8 lbs of baby that was completely dependent on me, and is now walking, saying a few words, and holding her own with her brother.

Her party was a success...thanks to the help of many and all of those that came to be a part of the big day. We had neighborhood family and friends and family from Wilmington and Charlotte. It was a full house, and we loved every minute of it!

It's a bird, it's a plane....

It's super Bobby!

My mom was generous enough to give me her sewing machine to use. And I have decided to learn and teach myself to sew. My first successful (if you don't look too closely:)) project was a Super Bobby cape. Unfortunately, the stomach bug and some other type of bacterial infection has hit my little guy hard, so he doesn't look super excited in the pictures. But I forsee that he will get lots of enjoyment out of the cape...or at least I hope so!

You might think it's Batman....

But no, it's Super Bobby

off to save the world!
