This might be one of my favorite moments captured between Bobby and Samantha. And mainly because he pulled his chair over to her, and started reading to her all on his own. Just such a sweet moment.

FOOD!!!
Samantha has started eating food, and loves it. If you don't get it to her fast enough...she lets you know:) We started with rice cereal, and although a little slow to start, she is now eating like a champ...cereal, peas, squash, carrots, green beans, peaches, apples, bananas...just to name a few. She has her 6 month checkup next month, and I can't wait to see how much weight she has gained. And she is also solely drinking from a bottle these days. The transition to formula went really well too, and she is just overall doing great!

Samantha's summer so far....
Bobby's summer so far....
Bobby is growing up so much, so quickly. He is constantly surprising me with his vocabulary and the personality that he is so quickly growing into. Of course with all the wit and funny moments, he has also had some serious moments of crankiness and stubbornness....but it will all work itself out and one day I will look back and cherish all of these trying times:)

And when it is just too hot to be outside, enjoying some arts and crafts time

It's hard work mowing with Daddy

Mother's Day
This was a special Mother's Day for me because it was the first as a mother to two little monkeys. I really consider myself so lucky to have two such wonderful kids. They truly mean the world to me and I can't imagine life without them.
This was the closest I could get to a picture with both of my monkeys.

A trip to Charlotte
Over Memorial Day weekend we went to Charlotte to see Adam, Ashleigh and the boys. It was Samantha's first overnight somewhere other than mummu and papa's and she did great. She even did really well on the 3.5 hour car ride.
The boys had a blast playing on the trampoline, running in the sprinkler, and just spending some quality family time together. Bobby loves his cousins "AndrewCooper" as he calls them, and we can't wait to go back and see them sometime soon.
I think that the highlight of the weekend was a trip to the pool Sunday morning. Their pool is AWESOME: waterslides, a lazy river and a beach entry shallow end. Needless to say, Bobby (and Mommy) thought it was fantastic.

SB Race
I am going to start posting about our summer. I can't believe that it is almost July already...so sadly, I am WAY behind on posting. We started things off with a race with the Spina Bifida Support group (SB racers). We had a great time, especially Bobby. He thought he was something else getting to run in a race. At least run until his little legs were tired and he wanted to be pushed...and it was only a one mile fun run. Next year I will be doing the 5K...already starting to get back into running when I can.
But our team won for the most spirit and the largest team! So a great time was had by all.
